Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Which changes would you like to see in the next Zelda?

an orchestrated soundtrack that that is as good as super mario galaxies, a bigger, better, less predictable story, and (dont kill me for saying this) cel shading.

just 1 thing

fierce diety link from MM. put him in it and i'm all set

#Live Life, Die Laughing#  *the laughter revolution*

TRANCE MUSIC

i've said this before, Zelda would be awesome with trance music(and ambient), trust me

i thought of a few more.

more usage of magic.
weapons have a larger role.
more playable characters than just link.
NO voice acting

Fully orchestrated soundtrack and voice acting done well-but not for Link. Link does not need to speak, but the rest of the game should have voice acting.

Stronger narrative-TP became a dungeon crawl in the second half of the game

Non-linear progression through dungeons-maybe 3 or so are available at a time?

Set in multiple regions-not desert/lake, I mean like Hyrule/Termina/Holodrum-but obviously not those lands. I think that'll give it a more epic feel-epics are supposed to be about great journeys through different lands.

MotionPlus only-push the tech and push the software to be as refreshing as it can be.

EDIT: More "set piece" moments outside of dungeons-like battles, bosses-stuff like the horse combat against King Bulibin (I think?), Hidden Village shoot out, wagon escort in TP and the time specific events in MM.

More connection and importance attached to individuals in the story.

Here are my wishes:

1. Make the game a lot less linear; would be cool if you could take the dungeons in a more random order, and not follow the standard formula that you need item x to enter dungeon y, what if there were multiple ways to get through a dungeon?
2. More sidequests - look to Majora's Mask! Make Link have a direct impact on the NPCs lives, and make the sidequests rewarding (not just a piece of heart please!)
3. Get magic back into the mix, and some XP elements.
4. Main quest should be challenging, but put the biggest challenge in the puzzles. Wind Waker and TPs puzzles had no challenge at all; again, look to Majora's Mask!
5. Let's not have to rescue Princess Zelda again, please!
6. Optional items! The original Legend of Zelda, and Zelda 3 had several items that were cool, but not necessary to complete the games. Give us these items by completing sidequests!
7. Secrets, secrets, secrets!
8. How about multiple difficulty levels to cater to both newcomers and veterans?
9. EPIC boss battles. Introduce the bosses like in OoT and MM: "Bio-electric Anemone BARINADE" anyone?!?! :)

I would like Zelda to be playable.

I would like the game to not use WM+. At all.

dear lord no trance music please, instant skip for me

i love techno, i love house, i love jungle . . . but trance?

boooooooooo, i quit ecstasy!

(to each their own tho)

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Wii Friend Code: 4094-4604-1880-6889

^ i hate hardcore techno, it's too repetitive(somehow it's possible) Dance music, and trance are a perfect mood for Zelda games, and ambient would be great for the slower parts.

tehcno would be awesome in side quests, now that i think about it...

i'd like to see the following:

voice acting
free roaming world with no loads
huge battles with allies (e.g.,infantry, archers, cavalry, etc)
more mature look to hyrule, characters and enemies
new items
bring back mercury shoes for flight?
different kingdoms like zelda 2 to explore, instead of just hyrule
