Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Which changes would you like to see in the next Zelda?

Miyamoto said that Twilight Princess was the last Zelda as we know the franchise. Which way do you think is the franchise going to take?

I would like to see a huge dungeon, instead of 7 or 8, of course you would have to return many times to complete it. There should also be a Big tower where you can find all the final bosses of the games in the same building and also a huge castle where you get all the new items neccesary to complete the adventure.

I also would like the game t be more difficult, to use all the power of the Wii and take full advantage of the WiiMotionPlus.

I think the story in Twilight Princess was quite weak, it didn't impress me at all. I want to see something as spectacular as in Ocarina of Time, please Nintendo.

Let's write new ideas, we must not forget that Reggie reads the blogs (sure).

I don't concur. One big dungeon didn't work well in Phantom Hourglass.
I say keep the temples, but get more creative with the puzzles. New items were fun in Twilight Princess. I want new ones, but keep the classics. (Arrows, Bombs, Hookshot, ect.)
Bring actual meaning to commoners. (take a note from Majora's Mask)
Bring new unique themes for temples. Deep story that develops over time. Time limits are fun, but take from Phantom Hourglass, not Majora's Mask. WiiMotion+ goes without saying. Less obvious plot twist. Time travel is cool. NO VOICE ACTING! Allowing decisions that cause ripple effect (different temple order, new items come early, ect.) Realistic graphics. Control Zelda/Ganondorf a la Thousand-Year Door. Temple creator option. Big "Hyrule Field" but not as big as Twilight Princess. Water temple is frusterating in a bad way, so take from Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask for how to handle the water temple. Link needs to run faster. Sword combat 1:1 would be fun. Many "Sub-bosses," and Outside temple bosses. Really long. Good guys go bad. Bad guys go good.
Other then that, it should be perfect.

Majora's Mask 2 that is all

I am sorry, I didn't play Phantom Hourglass. Maybe they should include voice acting, except for Link. I am a bit tired of getting the same items over and over....you already know which item you are going to obtein before you get to it just looking at the unsolved puzzles remaining in the dungeon.

Tha main thing, good story. Twilight Princess story has no sense: you never come back to the dark world in the second part of the game.

More inmersion in characters' personality, like Saria and Sheik in Ocarina of Time.

And more sidestory, obteining all the masks in Majora's Mask was just an amazin' task.

an overall bigger world. i like all the zelda games but the worlds like hyrule always seemed to small. wind waker's world was pretty big.

more swordplay, less puzzles (only a little bit though, not to much)

deeper story

harder (or bigger) bosses like ganon, he was kinda easy in twilight princess, harder than in WW though

game altering decisions. or atleast the decisions cause some sort of effect.

1:1 sword play

hmmm, thats all i can think of right know.

Have the sailing in wind waker. ( NOT JOKEING! I actually taught that this was the best place to discover)

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)

Do Not Click here or else I will call on the eye of shinning justice on you.

No voice acting, please.

More sword updates

Other weapons like axes, lances, and a more useful bay blade.

Zelda as playable character

A very interactive town, like Clock Town

No boat and no choo choo

No voice acting

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

Good story(hire a novelist, please. A good one.)

Voice Acting(Only if it's effing amazing)

More challenging, unique puzzles/dungeons(Use some imagination)

New items!! For the love of God!

A first person perspective!

Everybody would hate it, except me. :P

id like to see a return to how zelda 2 was, but in 3d

more involved world, and experience etc. more rpg elements.

keep it faithful, but different, for an older link

kids will still love it

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.
