Forums - General Discussion - What kind of bs is Miller Light Taste Protector Cap?

It looks like a freaking regular cap to me.  Aren't all caps taste protectors because without them your beer goes flat?  Why does Miller Light taste even shittier than ever with these caps?  Did I get a bad case or does Miller Light taste worse than ever now?  I think this might be the dumbest marketing ploy ever.  Don't worry my family bought this case so I didn't spend a single dime on it, and I don't think I will ever spend another cent on Miller Light ever again.  If I am going to drink cheap beer I would rather buy Coors Original or Natural Ice.  At least Coors has 5.0% and Natural Ice has 5.9%.  With beer prices these days you might as well buy a freaking bottle of liquor.

Oops just realized it taste protector lid but does it really freaking matter.....

How do you protect the taste of beer that tastes like shit?

You should be drinking Corona anyways. Nothing beats Corona.

I think it's a hilarious thought that someone out there might actually believe in a "taste protector cap."

It's equally hilarious that someone thinks there might be a best beer.

Except for about a thousand other beers I've had. Corona is good on a nice hot day with a lime but as far as taste goes, it's way down the list.

Give me Bass, Sierra Nevada, pretty much any Sam product, Boddington's, Guinness, Old Speckled Hen, Summit, Fat Tire, Newcastle, more German beers than I care to list, Harp, or any other handful of beers over Corona.

PS. Miller Lite tastes just like any other Miller, Budweiser, or Coors product... aka. like shit. Once I'm 5 or more shots deep I can handle it but then again, my own urine would probably taste acceptable at that point.

You could have stopped right there. Anyone who has never tried it and likes beer, owes it to themselves to have at least one.

I am a big fan of Shiner Bock as well.

Shiner Bock is also good.

I wonder how many beers I've tried over the years. It has to be way up in the hundreds. The ones I rattled off are just a few that are widely available in either Milwaukee or California (except for Old Speckled Hen, there was one specialty store in Cali I had to go to find that beer).

My personal favorite is Sierra Nevada. Unfortunately, most places in Milwaukee do not carry it on tap (and when in a bar, I prefer a tapper).
