And I find it strange that everyone seems to want a PS3 yet no games are listed for it.

==> BRANDNAME is everything

libellule: Not in the case of Band-Aids or Rollerblades, or Kleenex. A brand name too ingrained becomes a product rather than a brand, very easy to lose to people. Tell someone to pick up some Kleenex, and they'll return with Scotts Tissue. Hell, apparently in some places of US, Pop/Soda is just called "Coke".

Wow , more kids want a PS3 in any every occasion , and not 360... and 14-17 year old boys want the PS3 the most ... still no PSP though :(

Ya, I find that most teens in that age group tend to get caught up with the marketing a little too easily.  My old PSM mags were full of lady's in next to nothing for clothes and I liked reading those mags at the time.  Now I look back and laugh at how silly it all was.  I wouldn't worry too much, if you want to play online games with people, find them online.  We'll glaldy play against you.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

 You've got a point... no one ever knows what to get their grandparents...  Hmmm... it could be a huge seller for that market... It'd end up being something the family could play when they go visit and games would be purchased for special occasions...  More family members come to visit, play the Wii with their family and go home and buy one for themselves...  yikes... it is a virus...

@Fuzzmosis,

hum, you re right
but for console, this doesn't applicate, except, maybe, with the Gameboy because it totally dominated the handle market.

What I was saying is that what may save the ass of the PS3 is the Playstation name.
