I think NexGenWars numbers are on 'auto' in my opinion.

They are on auto. Which is why that site fails IMO. VGChartz FTW!

Shocking, making up numbers that some people may take for the real thing,i doubt there is many that do that though.

End of 2014 Hardware Predictions (03/03/14)

PlayStation 4: 12-15million

Xbox One: 7-10 million

Wii U: 8-9 million (Changed 01/04/2014 from 7-9 --> 8-9 million)

They make up numbers, yes, and people who want to believe those numbers and don't mind lying to themselves about things to feel better about them will believe those numbers without question.  Why do you think people are even on the nexgenwars forums.

Avoid their forums.  There's no reason to even go there and post anything.  There is plenty of other identical pointless garbage on the Internet.

Well please give me your numbers Jasmine??? You already did the calculations so I know you have them, because when I look up the data I get this.

Media Create as of 8/5
WII - 3,285,081 vgc=3,320,000
PS3 - 1,041,978 vgc=1,080,000
360 - 397,824 vgc=430,000

NPD as of June
WII - 3,190,000 vgc=3,130,000
PS3 - 1,450,000 vgc=1,490,000
360 - 5,780,000 vgc=6,330,000

Granted I don't have a "MBA from Whartons" so would you help me on the math? Because, I am not getting over 20% in any region or system, much less on average.

If VGCharts can consistently be within 20% every time, that is actually good than if you see within 5% one day, and 50% the next. It's called statistical trends with a consistent epsilon error. Having MBA doesn't mean they can do as well a job than ioi. Not having an MBA doesn't mean they can't do the job of MBAs. It just depends on what the job is so Jasmine shouldn't use a Wharton MBA to justify that he or she is better than anyone else.

Oh, I was just being a smartass there
I would be surprised if he even knows where Wharton's is... Most people I know that go to prestigious schools don't flaunt it around especially in an argument where education is not in question.  Just my opinion.

Don't get me wrong I don't think ioi's numbers are perfect but they keep me entertained till the real numbers are out and becuase I read VGchartz I am never  surprised when the real numbers do come out

That's great, Lenard, thanks for doing the math for me. My calculations must be off but my MBA from Wharton must not be worth the paper it's printed on because I am still finding total vgchartz % to be off by unacceptable amounts when compared to actuals but, again, this is a fan site so I don't care. I could start up my own site, drop numbers in from here and there, change them whenever, make claims and suck in fans, but I don't. I am not saying vgchartz is the only one, far from it actually.

I come here to read the forums when I have time off, as I do so many others. these type of web sites serve a great purpose on the internet and I'm glad they are around. What I despise is when one site trashes another for no good reason or when one flamer gets a bug up there butt and thinks the site they are on is the only site out there with knowledge.

These type of sites are great for making predictions. It is fun to see how close or not people can come to the real thing. Each month is a shot in the dark and one month vgchartz is closer or nextgenwars is closer or simexchange is closer. It's all good.

You have an MBA, of course your degree isn't worth the paper its printed on. Mockery aside, statistics are beyond worthless without given the proper context. For instance, this statistic - 87% of your posts could be eliminated if you were given an enema. Damn, did it again. Guess I'm just not cut out to make outlandish statements like you. The MBA really does come in handy.

Just one question though - why is a guy named David from NPD posting as a female on an amateur video game tracking website? Seems a tad...odd.

"Suck on it" -vgchartz mod

Because he's keeping an eye on the figures of VGChartz to check if NPD's estimates are accurate or are way off.

NPD is getting really pathetic if "Jasmine" is David.

The only conclusion: NPD is nervous - they are scared vgchartz could be more accurate and make their figures not worth buying.

I'm curious, how did ioi know it was David? IP address?

Just figured I would ask for ioi's source!

Well I don't know for sure (my bad) but I'm 90% certain it is Mr Riley from NPD on a fake yahoo email.

He writes in exactly the same manner and has exactly the same points and keeps throwing things like education into the argument (which is a dangerous road to go down).

Just a hunch.

Ironically you gave far more "proof" for your position than he did for his =P

To Each Man, Responsibility

ioi

you are SO right. You have made that claim before and you got it. I am so busted. I am David Riley. email address is a fake Yahoo email that I, David Riley, am using. Your genius at identifying writing styles helped to identify me, David Riley. I should have known that I, David Riley, who obviously has nothing better to do, don't have the brains you do. You are so darn smart and I am nothing more than your puppet. vgchartz owns me, David Riley.

Quick Jasmine, hold up your MBA from Wharton to shield yourself from the flames!
