No. It is selling because of its motion controls. |
Just like the NES sold because of its D-pad and two buttons.
Which, of course, translated into games.

the point is Michael Jackson is considered the king of pop because of his sales dont get me wrong though his music is legendary but if he didnt sale so well he wouldn't be as popular

If this was a site about music the OP would be:
Why do the Mj fans only talk about his album sales and not about his songs? I never heard/read a article about MJ saying 'he is the king of pop because his albums sell well' Isn't he the king of pop because his songs are great in the first place?

correction D-pad and four buttons
Sony have the same 10 yr strategy as Nintendo did. Be number 1 for 10 yrs and then not be number 1 for 10 yrs
Hey it hurts, i know. Drink whiskey
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Interesting. Remember the old controls for the Colecovision and Intellivision.

Nintendo makes gaming more easy simplifying the controls..... is the history a cicle??

Well
Uh
I suppose I can't take it back, so yes! Onward, to madness!
Seriously though it had two useful buttons which were used for gameplay.
