Forums - Website Topics - Who wants to be a moderator?

To tell you the truth, as of now nobody. For a couple of reasons. 1. This site is getting bigger but not big enough so we need a moderator. 2. People can moderate whoever they want and you never know when someones not a good moderator. Some people may seem good at the begainning but will change. So you never know. 3. If some people wanted they could create new accounts so they could just win the moderator spot. So as of now I vote Nobody but I may edit this post later if I find somebody.

I agree that it is fairly early on to know who might make the best moderator, but It would be a nice addition to the sometimes conflict driven nature of the boards. I'll start off the nominations with Staticneuron. From what I've seen he exhibits respectable board behaviour.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Wii_gamer said: Well the site has reached a point where I don't have time to go through every single thread looking for every single instance of rule-breaking, so at least ONE other person doing that would be useful to take a load off myself so I do think we now need to assign one or two people. I guess people don't know each other well enough yet to decide who would make a good or bad moderator necessarily but we could probably narrow down to 3-4 people who would do a decent job (if they wanted to). I am just opening up the chance to pick somebody to the forum rather than decide myself. The whole vote rigging and fake accounts won't work, as I say we know who is genuine and who isn't by now.
Have you ever been to gamefaqs? Well if we do get moderaters i think that we should have something like that. Where we can report people whenever they do something wrong and when we get modded I think the person who got modded should be able to explain himself. I guess I'll pick the person with the most experience with the VG board. sieanr, Atleast I think thats him.

Not me!

I nominate Erik Aston, BTW. and that really wordy guy(I forgot his name, but he usually post a topic and its usually more than 10,000 brazillian words.

Probably easier to nominate people who should not be moderators.

People are difficult to govern because they have too much knowledge.

When there are more laws, there are more criminals.

May we make more than one nomination? Because I'd also like to throw Dreamcast's name out there. She seems to have a pretty good head on her shoulders.

Easy? Maybe ... But no where near as fun

Vanguardian1 has been pretty respectable from what I've seen. He seems more level-headed than most anyway.
