You must have ahd a very deprived early gaming life then... That game is so amazing. I loved it to no end. I dare even say more than I loved AOE2 afterwards.

I also have those connection problems sincce Vista... I don't like it.

I played primarily the C&C series until I bought Age of Empires II.

I used to be such an avid RTS gamer until I got Vista.  Now I have connection issues with AoM and BFMEII, and SupCom runs slower than ever.

I need an upgrade.

You need Rise of Nations. It's a very pleasant mix between AOE and Civilization, done very well too. Last time I tried it, a long long time ago, it worked alright online.
