Maybe they should give this medicine to cows.

It could make their meat more unhealthy as a side effect, thereby also helping to solve the overpopulation problem. Win-Win!

Start from the top and work your way down the list.

I'd start by stabing this woman in the Uterus Duggar family

Sansui is on the right track. I've never thought of giving CFLs to people, of course the government used to give one away to every household. Now I have a box full of my old incadescents. I'm waiting for them to be recyclable before I do anything about them.

@ Tispower

I was referering solely to the toxicity of pig shit. That stuff is nasty, you can't really dispose of it you have to keep it in gigantic vats (cesspools) that are small scale ecological desasters waiting to happen if they break.

@NJ5

Oh right, my bad.

I believe it's man-made. About .5% man made, anyways...

So I'll keep on eating cows. They taste soooo good!

Global Warming? That's that crazy theory that Al Gore thought up right?

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

What if I don't eat cows? Are fish and chicken okay?

I do believe the current global warming is manmade and I don't drive, I use the nice light bulbs, and I married a vegan who cooks me amazing vegan food. I think the only meat I have in the fridge now is some turkey for sandwiches. Is turkey as much of a problem?

No, bird meat is less of a problem, and quite efficient if (and animal lovers will hate me for saying this) battery farmed.

Yes, well meat does taste very nice, so I'm not going to stop eating anyway

While I think that stuff should be done to increase efficiency and use of alternative fuels should be looked at, it is not the most important think. First sort out the global economy, then you can invest some money in green energy

Green Energy is kinda small in comparison.

Even if you fixed everything else... meat production would be causing global warming.

It is true, the industrialisation of the meat industry contributes to global warming. But the amount is insignificant in comparison to other factors of global warming. Also some animals that have a low methane output such as sheep and kangaroos (people do eat kangaroos, I've had it) so meat farming isn't hypocritical in a broader sense.

Did you read the article i posted?  It's actually far more significant then... basically every manmande cause of greenhouse gasses.

Your logic does not follow. Supporting a solution would imply that you can't live in the modern world AND try to help solve the problems with that logic.

That's the whole issue, how do we keep our standard of living and not fuck up the planet past the point of sustainability.

How do you figure?  Basically if people eat meat at the level they do... all the green energy in the world is pointless.

Which is the point... a lot of people are supporting smaller issues thinking it's a good thing yet ignoring larger ones that effect them... and often being pretty smug about it.

It's good to show people the best way they can help a problem.  Then see if they really will, or if they're just full of it.

Actually the current plan is to try and geneticaly alter them so they fart less.
