Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will games continue to portray women as sex objects in the future?

Just curious on everyone's thoughts, seems to me that as more women play video games, future games won't have women portrayed as they are nowadays in games such as Dead or Alive.

The phrasing implies that this is unique to games.

It isn't.

Men and women will continue to be portrayed as sex objects in all media so long as they are perceived as such.

I hope so.

As long as there is a fanbase for them that will buy the games, they will continue to exist.

Yes...especially games like fat princess.

Oh yeah. come to daddy.

But seriously...I think they will still be portrayed as sex objects but there are more female characters that wear clothes. Heavy Rain, Mirror's Edge and there are a few others too.

art imitates life...

Men are very sexual and women are far less, hence why women are much more heavily portraid as sex objects by ALL media not only games.

Go to your room and don't come out until you think about what you've done.

What? It is quite factual that men have a much higher sex drive than women in general. I wasn't being sexist, I merely gave an explanation as to why women in media (especially porn) are far more objectified.

awww, your saying im not gonna see big bouncey boobies no more? ;-; makes me a sad gamer
