Unless they have made some sort of motion games in combination with Playstation Eye. Like Wii sports and stuff.


I don't know if the PS3 will ever get to $200 -- it may bottom out at $250 -- unless they sell a stripped-down version like PS2 slim, without card readers or something. I predict that such a console would be about the size of the original PS2.

As for the prediction, September is the only chance the 360 will have of winning a month in a long, long time. The PS3 has no chance at all this year, but will probably beat 360 in some months of 2008 (LBP etc.) and has a small possibility of beating the Wii when their biggest title (whichever one turns out to be the biggest) hits.

So put me down for September.

[edit:  The reason that the 360 can't win in November or December is simple:  The fabled Wii Stockpile is going to open its floodgates in time for Black Friday, maybe subsiding briefly until Nintendo launches a full assault in mid-December.  I'm sure the others will also do well, but we all know that the only real question is, "How many does Nintendo have socked away for the holidays?"  You know my opinion on that score.]

I would say october 07, Halo 3 will be available only 1 week of september, and most people who buys a console with the game wont do it until a week later that the game comes to retail i think, that and the combination of the bump that GTA4 will give to the 360 and Ps3.

I'd say "Take it to the crow thread," but he seems to get rather defensive when people point out that his predictios have failed. Apparently, to do so is to make a personal attack.

Can i still change my vote? With GTA 4 delayed, i think the WII will outsell both Dec. 07. So i guess know Dec 08. Just because nobody said that at the moment :o)

No it will still be december as i also predicted. Xmas is good for everyone and the 'combined' sales of 360/ps3 will be greater than wii alone due to shortages of wii hardware.

I considered revising my estimate after GTA IV got bumped, but turns out my initial guess was September, the month before the game's original release date. =/

Oh well, I'll just take it like a man then.

Wii : worst Xmas line-up
(comparing to what is coming on PS3/Xbox360)
BUT
Wiisport + hype + cheap = I think the console could still outsold the 2 others combined
