I don't think a price cut would do it. They need some games, and a lot of them.Sony needs a long plan for how they should retake the trone. |
The japanese wont pay 500 buks for anything even if it does have FF13 or Naruto as exclusive games. A price cut "WILL" sell units they need a price cut. |
The PS3 is available for $400 in Japan. That's why they're selling almost 10,000 per week -- about 1/7th as much as the Wii.
Tretton is an idiot. He also said that the PS3 was selling out everywhere back in January when it was on shelves everywhere. He can imply that the Wii is kiddie all he wants, but the fact of the matter is that he's talking about playing video game toys. And he's making sure everyone knows they're serious business on the PS3 and much better than when they were released last year on the 360.
People who suggest the Wii is more kiddy than one of the other consoles aren't being honest with themselves. Video game are simply an entertainment device and meant to be fun. Having fun and enjoying oneself is the purpose, and despite the fact that Nintendo tends to make more clean games doesn't mean the Godfather isn't a blast on the Wii (a lot more fun than on any other console, might I add) and isn't more violent on the Wii.
Play it on the Wii and play it on the PS3. Once you get used to the Wii controls, you'll feel like you're stuck in the '90s playing it on the PS3.
