I've played L4D and you are jealous. Nerr.

Yes my pc wil run it just fine. If given the choice between 360 and pc, it's better to go pc if you can run the game on maximum settings.

Need more Ram...

can anyone explain what

"Video: Direct X 9 compatible video card (Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for pixel shader 2.0)"

means?

Like... what card does that start at?

Hm, well technically any DX9 card with 256 MB should be able to run the game...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Basically any discrete video card you can buy now will support DX9 and pixel shader 2.0. Hell, I think all of them should support pixel shader 3.0. The last line of cards that didn't support pixel shader 3.0 were the x800 series from ATI.

OT:  My computer can't handle this game .  Come on Valve, give me a PS3 port!

Huh.  So all i need is some Ram.  Neato.

I believe anyway.  I think a Athlon 64 X2 4000+ fits.  I suck at computer termonology though.

It requires a 3ghz processor as a minimum system requirement?

I need to upgrade my PC.

I do think sticking to the latest hardware limits your audience a little bit, though.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

There are $40 video cards out there that you could buy, and you could play Left 4 Dead on medium settings with a great framerate...Valve scales games fine.

The problem for me is the processor. That's not something that's easily replacable. That's a "time to buy a new gaming PC if you have a 2.7ghz processor."

I mean, aren't minimum system requirements like, "This is the lowest we can put on this box by law, we recommend twice this for medium settings."

Would a Athlon 64 X2 6000+ even play this worth a crap? Hell, I dunno. I didn't even expect this game to be very graphics intensive.
