Well I've been aiming at this "Overkill Achievement" for about 4 days straight and approximately 15 hours of gameplay time on it.

Someone told me to get King of the Hill on the Pit and take people out with the turret to get the achievement. But I haven't got to King of the Hill on the Pit yet...So I might just come back to it later or just give up on it altogether. Cause this achievement is really freaking hard. It's hard getting an Overkill now. Cause you need to kill 4 people within 4 seconds.

Hard indeed!

My cousin has been trying off and on for months to get Overkill with no luck. He's gotten several dozen triple kills where the last guy is nowhere to be found. =P

Take it from an obsessive freak like me who's trying to quit, you'd probably be happier just forgeting about it. You can wind up hating a game in the time it takes to get something like that if your luck is lousy enough.

Yea, I'm done with it...I will be playing Halo 3 multiplayer again. If I get it anonymously, so be it. If not, oh well. I was waiting to get this achievement before moving on to another game...lol

Well I will move on and come back to it later. I have 965G's from Halo 3. Something worth noting an accomplishment!!

Bra, he is my cousin. I joke with him like that.

I generally try to unlock as much as possible. But if I see that it is going to be too much trouble and annoy me, I just let it go.

However, I do like to get at least 500 points. Somehow, it makes me feel good that I at least got half the points.

A little bit... I will happily waste some time trying to get extra achievements, but if they are reaaaaaaalllllly dulllllll then I wont bother, though I have got 1k in AC and BLIC, because they were quite easy and I had tons of time on my hands

@marciosmg

Same here bro, I just gave up on it. I have enough of the achievements in Halo 3 already. Bungie is about to release a update that has new achievements:

Here’s a look at these achievements which can be earned via the Legendary Maps and Halo 3 Campaign:

Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch (0 points) – Get to the rank of Lieutenant in any playlist in the new EXP progression system.
Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7 (0 points) – Enter into any ranked or social playlist with 7 EXP on the 7th of the month.
Vidmaster Challenge: Annual (0 points) – After 9/25/08, complete Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts.
Double Double (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get two Double Kills during any ranked or social match.
Poor Yorick (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get 3 Oddball melee kills during any ranked or social match.
Came…From…Behind (50 points) – On a Legendary map, get 3 assassinations during any ranked or social match.
Defend This (50 points) – On a Legendary map, get a flag melee kill during any ranked or social match.
Flag Dropped (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get 2 flag carrier kills during any ranked or social match.
Road Rage (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get 5 Warthog chaingun kills during any ranked or social match.
Look Both Ways (50 points) – On a Legendary map, get a Splatter Spree during any ranked or social match.

As folks have seen, these aren’t the only achievements we’re adding. But without proper context, there’s not a whole lot else we’re going to say. Stay tuned.
But they have more for us!!!!

nope I just play the game, don't have time for achievemnts, too mnay games to play and i don't have 7 hours day for games.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

ill play through a game. if it was enjoyable then ill try to get a some more achievements. if im not enjoying the game, im not even going to finish it once though.

I agree with the five hundred point rule in principle. When I have a game I like I try to have over five hundred points at least, and would prefer to have over eight hundred points. However sometimes you must concede that the effort is not worth the time. I will not spend ten hours getting a ten point achievement. No matter how much I love the game there must be a limit.
