Forums - General Discussion - Which is the best cell phone service provider out there?

Also, CDMA is better than GSM coverage...sorry that had to known and made clear.

The most important feature a cell phone is that you can actually make a call and Verizon has be far the best network. I have had friends with every carrier and everyone has had a time where they used my phone because theirs did not get any reception.

1 has used these in this order Cingular(obviously when it was its own company), AT&T, and now TMobile. They switched due to drop calls until they now have TMobile and are pretty much ok with the service, however, mine worked recently perfectly on a camping trip, theirs did not.

2 have used Sprint and now Verizon.

Then I'm nearly positive that everyone else are either Sprint (since my company gets has a pretty good deal through them) or Verizon.

Same here...T-Mobile has awful service near the hospital I work at. Christiana Care has a deal with Verizon Wireless that runs all the telecommunications in are company. They put a tower out at the back of the Christiana Hospital. As I walk around the hospital I have awful reception. I actually have to stand near a window to get some good excellent reception. And if I do go near a window I get a maximum of 2 bars, if that!

I might have to switch between services, because the hospital is where I'm at most of the time.

Plus, my home is and will be filled with all Verizon goods. My household is getting Verizon FiOS this Monday. So it makes since for me to switch from T-Mobile to Verizon Wireless.

I don't know. I'm only 1 year within the contract. I might do early termination or I might stick with it.

Does anyone know if that will mess up your credit or not?

AT&T is quite all right, I have them as my provider and they never have gave me any problems...

My bill for last month:

$ 53.21

1000 min, 400 text, unlimited internet.

Makes absolutely no sense. How you pay $50 for the 1000 minutes, having unlimited internet must be another $5 extra and 400 minutes is like $10 extra. Thats $65...how are you paying $53. I pay $65 for 1000 minutes ($50), unlimited text messaging ($15).

I have Verizon. I've had bad experiences with both Cingular (and when it was bought by AT&T) . It's pretty good service if you don't mind them renewing your contract if you ask to have anything added or taken off your account (by this I am referring to text messagng and miscellaneous objects like that. Not Ringtones or ringback or anything like that but just things that affect the actual plan.

But doesn't all companies require you to do that...

So no drop calls once?

That's so hard to believe, considering once AT&T merged with Cingular. That slogan was proven otherwise that it was crap and plus, they even dropped that slogan too!
