I'm just pointing out that as exclusives have gotten lost, and sales have dropped, there has been a inversely proportionate increase in your determination to defend the PS3.

And PS3 sales haven't dipped (much) and exclusives are always being lost.

What has changed is the amount of Sony hate on the forums. 

Seems like when a certain company has a few good weeks, and a marginal E3, somehow the tide of the console wars have changed.

Also, I have no idea how I defended PS3 in this thread.

You bought Sony into the thread, not me.  I came in here and defended nothing until you attacked.  Is it wrong to defend when attacked?

Attacked?  I was under the impression this was all friendly banter across console lines?

You implied that you intend to defend the PS3 in this thread.  And I think we can finally lay to rest the notion that somehow MS didn't win E3. 

Hell, the conference has all but been forgotten about with the exception of one important announcement........

How did I imply defending PS3?  PS3 may not even need defending.

Who's to say that my reply wasn't "friendly banter" also.  Except for the fact that both of us know that neither of our posts were "friendly banter".

I just didn't see the reason into bringing "Damage control for Sony" into the  thread and the numbers aren't even in yet.

 I don't think people will be talking about the 360 though in honesty. There is a very high chance the PS3 could fall from 405k for June to under 200k for July. Where as the 360 is a going from 220k probably to around 300k. So a 80k increase is not really note worthy but a 200k drop is in my opinion. I think even the biggest PS3 supporter knows this months sales will be bad but it is a question of how bad. We all know the 360 re-leaped back over the PS3 for Worldwide sales last month so it is naturally obvious the 360 outsold the PS3. The only way i can see the 360 fans needing to run control would be if the 360 failed to beat the PS3 even though it had a sort of price cut. That would be funny :)

NPD is USA only, last month (end of June) it was 10.9 million.


EDIT: Damnit you edited again.... at first I was calling you out on your YTD mix up... but you had edited to the above post except with 14 in place of 11.

Yeah, Oyvoyvoy pointed it out already.  But I was still wrong the second time.  Dunno what I was thinkin'... was dyslexic and being absent-minded at the same time.

I don't view you guys as direct competition, I am serving a broader audience. While you two try to get the attention from the mods, I try to entertain all VGC members with my posts.

Much like you're console of choice.  It sells to the masses whilst our console's compete for a small, financially unsustainable hardcore market.

I'd say thats very much a pre-emptive form of offensive defense.  Wouldn't you?

Though I acknowledge the truth of the bolded statement.  It is possible that there was a cataclysmic breakdown in VGC's data collaboration for the month just gone.
