i did, and do i feel cheated. i could have bought an x360 instead and i could be in rpg heaven now. damn sony!

It's not Sony's fault that you bought a console for a game without even a release date.

dude, since the begining of time, FFXIII has been hailed and claimed by both sony and s-e as ps3 exclusive. and so, i blindly believe them on this as who better to know what is exclusive than these two. then, here we are....so yes, it is sony's fault for misleading us gamers. so you can just shut the fuck up dumb ass!

I don't think i was offensive.

You on the other hand insulted me for no reason, so you've been reported.

At one point in time I would've been one of those idiots. Now I have Patience. Unfortunate though that alot of people in my area didn't the local Gamestops here are being flooded with PS3's.....

People are actually trading them in? That's even more idiotic! They didn't have the patience to wait to buy it in the first place and now they don't even have the patience to wait for Sony's E3 conference to see if there are any good announcements. And they're trading in instead of selling privately for more money. I guess if people are that moronic they deserve to get screwed over badly.

Anyone who bought a system for one game is a damn fool.

And there won't be a negative impact on sales in America because of the announcement. That's just silly.

FFXIII is big, but not that big to hurt PS3 sales, just that when the game comes out, the spike will be muted, across both consoles, and 360 is the JRPG king this generation.

Yes, you are right, but a lot of the early adopters bought a console for the future games, so there is a big bunch of damn fools out there...

There is going to be an impact and is going to be a negative one(How big depends a lot of the current install base that is waiting for the game, and the ones who haven`t bought one console yet), like GTA4, the sales on both consoles will move a lot of software, but what about the hardware???

Yes is big and yes it will hurt sales since is no longer an exclusive, try to figure out a MGS4 on the 360 on the same launch date as the PS3... and FF is bigger than MGS... (Not by huge margin but it is bigger)

Games plural. Buying a console knowing that a load of great games that you want will be coming out, before any of them have, is just impatient. Buying a console for one single game that hadn't even been given a release date is plain daft.

Who should be blamed?

Sony who can't keep the exclusive?
or SE the promise breaking hungry company?

Now the loyal hardcore fans who are willing to buy a system for the game feel cheated.
And the fear of the game quality being drag down because of multiplatform.
Also the possible delay for NA/EU because of the time needed for the 360 port instead of just localization.

Worst decision by SE ever, if they were going to make it multiplatform, decide it before they start the development. Not after 2-3 years of claiming PS3 exclusive then suddenly jump to multiplatform.

I hope this coming FF will be better than the previous ones. FF series has been going down hill since FFVIII.

I never said is not dumb, but thats how the early adopters thinks... there was a nice bunch of sales without good games, and now there is a nice bunch of angry piss off fans, so there is a bunch of damn fools out there...
