Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The hardest time to be a Nintendo fanboy was....

I was a huge Nintendo fanboy my whole life; still am.

I've got a lot of love for Nintendo I mean a lot. People don't realise this because I prefer PS3 over Wii.

But the PS3 is the first Non Nintendo Console I ever bought.

Anyway, with the Wii selling the way it is it's a pretty sweet time to be a Nintendo fan. But who remembers the times when defending Nintendo was pretty tough?

For me the worst was when Mortal Kombat came out with no blood.

I remember how Sega fans almost destroyed my self esteem with the taunting. "Ohhh look how much sweat he just lost with that uppercut" they would laugh.

After Mortal Combat 2 came out with the blood on Snes those dark days were over. But I'll never foget the shame of the bloodless Mortal Kombat era.

Any other Nintendo fans want to share their roughest moments as Nintendo fans? We can make seperate threads for Playstation and Xbox fans too. :)

I'd imagine it was the N64 days, when there were damn few games coming out, entire genres were missing, games cost much more than the competitors, had less storage space, etc.

I say "imagine" because I didn't bother defending Nintendo then: I just bought a N64 and a PlayStation, and had some good times.

Never. I've always been proud of being a Nintendo fan boy and I never had any trouble arguing with Sony and Xbox fanboys, because, well, they were just idiots. lulz.

nope never as long as I got Nintendo games I have been one happy kid/man.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I would say GC era. GBA was pretty cool, but gamecube was looked down upon for some reason. This gen is also kinda tough because I have mixed feelings about the Wii, but Nintendo has more respect and there are better games, so its all good.
