Should I really care? I would rather use GameFaqs user reviews. Gamerankings is a good index for western reviewers tastes. The rankings are also not immune to "money politics". Perfect Dark Zero still puzzles me. It got 9`s from GS, 1up and GameTrailers.

How is my post irrelevant or sarcastic?I clearly stated that GTA IV doesn't deserve to be the best game of all time,so if they are "cheating" and changed the numbers,then they obviously think that GTA IV deserves that spot more than OoT right!?Which would then equate to GTA IV being better than OoT according to them,got it? PS:I've played and beat OoT plenty of times,back when Nintendo made and put out the best games imo.I dont have to be no fanboy of the wii to disagree.

OT but GTA4 was what 99 and 98.7 last time I checked and now it's down to 97.7....do you think maybe some obscure smaller sites started giving it lower scores so they could get traffic? Just a thought.......

Oot is the first game. GTA4 are 4th (360 ahead) and 5th. 2nd is Pro Skater 2 and 3rd is Soulcalibur for Dreamcast.

Well that's a shame. I use to really like using Gamerankings for a good general idea on what a game is. I'm not saying it's a shame because OoT lost the top spot, I'm just saying it's a shame they rig their numbers.

That may be true but that is part of the meta-review process. The same thing happened to Mario Galaxy which was a ways ahead of OoT for a while on Gamerankings but was gradually pulled back by late, lower review scores. The same thing happened to COD4, Orange Box and i'm sure the same thing will happen with MGS IV and many other high profile AAA titles. I agree with you that it shouldn't matter but the fact that OoT was docked close to 0.3% of point just as GTA-IV was dropping into that range is really rather pathetic.

I do find this quite funny, and it does barely matter, as all of this is only fractions of a % difference, it does barely matter

 Yeah, "BEST GAME EVER ZOMG status" for a game that will sell 10 copies max in Japan was pretty stupid to begin with.

And it's pretty obvious looking back that Perfect Dark Zero got all 9's because everybody really really wanted Rare to make a great FPS like they used to.  It was just wishful thinking.

And now they want to fudge Ocarina, and I bet the next move is for the haters to rewrite history and say Ocarina was a casual game and GTA4 is hardcore.  Lulz galore.
