As we begin 2025, the console market looks more competitive than ever. With rumors pointing to the Nintendo Switch 2 possibly launching in May or June, it raises an interesting question: how will sales of the Xbox Series X/S compare to the Nintendo Switch in 2025?
The Xbox Series X/S has been struggling with sales recently, and Microsoft’s decision to release some of its first-party titles on other platforms hasn’t helped its case. While there are some highly anticipated games coming this year like Grand Theft Auto VI, there isn’t that big incentive to buy an Xbox.
On the other hand, the Nintendo Switch is still selling well despite being over eight years old. But sales will slow down significantly with the impending release of the Switch 2. So with the arrival of the Switch 2, will sales of the original Switch drop enough for the Series X/S to come out on top or will it not be enough?
