Forums - Website Topics - Small New Feature

We finally have the ability thanks to Bandorr to click the name in someone's quote tree which will take you directly to the post if for example, you wanted to quote the person as well, instead of running back a few pages to find it.

Feel free to test it out and make any suggestions for tweaks and whatnot.

This feature is NOT retroactive.

For example.

Click my name, it should take you directly to the post being quoted.

Very nice! If only you could also see the surrounding posts as well for context, but I'm not going to complain about any improvements, and this seems like a clear improvement. It seems to work with multi-quoting as well, including nested quotations - nice!

There was an issue with multi-quoting but it was quickly sorted by Bandorr.

But I like vigorously beta testing stuff so have at it and see if there's anything broken that has been missed.

For your suggestion, I'm pretty certain that I know what you mean, instead of linking directly to the post, it instead links to the post but from within the thread still, with the comments above and below? I'll let Bandorr answer if that is an easy change since I'm no coder

I imagine pagination is the hard part, since different people can have different amounts of posts per page. Otherwise, it doesn't sound like it should be too hard, but that should complicate things more or less. But I'm not the expert on the codebase here, so I won't speculate much further.

Yes Yes.

This will definitely be useful when reading a post from Pemalite.
