I'm old enough when Captain Lou Albano was the voice of Mario in the 1989 cartoon. Then Bob Hoskins as Mario in the movie.
He did this bit a few times in E3 2007. 2014 and maybe more but this is the first time i can find of him voicing Mario

It's a damn shame. His voice gave a lot of personality to the games.
I hope he will still do the voice for conventions every now and then. He have had some good moments during those:
