Forums - Gaming Discussion - Blizzard games are coming to Steam

Well, the consolidation of PC gaming storefronts continues to shrink it seems. This is so weird still lol. But Steam will continue to become more and more dominant in PC gaming than ever before now. While simultaneously, MS will grow more when they add ABK games to PC Game Pass. More and more game companies are abandoning deals with Epic or abandoning their own storefronts to go back to Steam.

I wonder when we'll start to see the likes of World of Warcraft and Diablo IV.

Great to hear. The issue with other launchers such as battle.net and such is they are simply not as feature filled as Steam is and a lot of them don't even feel like they are trying to implement new features anymore. So I'd rather just have one great launcher than 5 shit ones.

Great news, the more games coming to Steam the better.

About damn time!

Hoping older Diablo and Starcraft games will come out on Steam sooner rather than later.

Same! Only time I boot up battle.net these days are for StarCraft Remastered and Diablo II: Resurrected lol

If this makes it so I can lazily play my Diablo games on my steam deck without any extra effort on my part xD

I wonder how much the merger has to do with this. If the stuff I have on Battle.net can be migrated over that'll be even better but that probably won't happen.

I think Bethesda games started coming back on Steam around the same time as when Microsoft bought them off few years ago too.

So there's a chance it could be because of that.

Yep though that launcher got closed down but I guess since Battle.net is so old and even predates Steam it has more value to keep around.

Awesome, thanks Microsoft! I've no doubt at all that the takeover played a role in this decision.

Couldn't care less about Overwatch, but hopefully this will mean their older RTS games get ported to. I'd heard good things about Warcraft and Starcraft and would like to try them!

Also, Crash Bandicoot 4 is still battle.net exclusive (in Japan) hopefully that changes soon too!
