Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Pikmin 4 In Times Square

Recently people have been putting up Pikmin 4 ads in Times Square.

Thoughts? Will this help Pikmin 4 sales numbers? Are they too much?

Twerking Olimar huh? Thats something I didnt need to experience...

Only if Times Square was like it used to be. Pornshops and hookers. Olimar is sexy! Now it's just a place no one who lives in NYC wants to go to. Applebees and Olive Garden for tourists is what's there now. Lol tho but really maybe will entice some traveling Nintendo fans to pick it up at the Nintendo store. Tho if it were me I might not notice any ads because there so many of them it all kinda blends in after a few seconds.

Although most of the ads won't look like Pikmin ads.

As someone who lives in NY, the interesting part of this is learning how much advertising on the big Times Square screen is. By the math here it would be about 350K a day, but it looks like this was put on very late at night/early in the morning, probably when time was cheaper.

40 bucks for ten seconds is still cheaper than I thought though. Now I know that if I really wanted to, I could afford to propose to a girl using the giant times square screen... but only if I propose at like 4AM.

Why does the quality look so bad?

Because they were hastily made?
