  1. Of course I do -- all PS5 games should be at least 60fps 40%
  2. Yes, all PS5 games should offer a 60fps mode 33%
  3. Yeah, I prefer playing PS5 games at 60fps 11%
  4. Nah, 60fps is nice, but it's not a necessity on PS5 10%
  5. Nope, I'm fine with 30fps on PS5 3%
  6. No, I don't care at all 4%

Pretty much agree with this poll. 60fps just feels and looks just  so much better., less input lag and easier on the eyes. 30fps just feels like lastgen on consoles. it's the main reason i bought a PS5.

Just bought Elden and playing the PS4 version which is locked 60fps on ps5, and thank god i did. cause those need 60fps locked to have the best gameplay.

I'd be more interested in how many people change a games setting to 60fps when 30fps/graphics is the default (horizon forbidden west)...

For me it entirely depends on what's on offer. I played Horizon/Ratchet at 30fps but then GOW at 60fps

Add some context to your OP.

What's your take on it? Why is one better/worse than the other, etc.

ok updated.

Why is this its own thread instead of being posted in Leynos's thread?

The thing so far this gen is that the visuals don't really seem to get a boost in 30 fps mode. So there is really not a big reason to choose the 30fps mode. The slightly higher Res makes much less of an impact on PS5 than it did during the PS4 era, where games took a much bigger hit to run in 60fps.

On the other hand most of gamers on Vgchartz still play BotW and TotK and absolutely love it. So apparently 30 fos is much more playable than we often give it credit for.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I'd almost always take 60fps over the other options, but it depends on the game.
Often I'd tweak the graphic, fps and resolution settings to find a balance that feels comfortable to me. When I first played Nier Automata in 2017 for example, I ended up settling on 1890p, 45/50fps, high graphic options.

Action, adventure, racing, shooters, fighting = 60 FPS

Story, board, puzzle, Strategic RPGs, real time strategy, simulation = Graphics

I don't play Civilization on Playstation, but at PC I undoubtedly would pick graphics over 60 FPS because... what is there to take advance on 60 FPs anyways? Same goes for games like Diablo I think

What thread is that?

Keyboard and Mouse - as much fps as possible
Gamepad - 60fps is always welcome, but 30fps is quite alright
