Forums - Gaming Discussion - LEGO 2K Drive announced, open world racer coming May 19th

The game will be releasing on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.

Looks like a cool mashup of elements from games like Forza Horizon, Burnout, Mario Kart, and Sonic Racing Transformed, while retaining the strengths and style of the LEGO IP.

Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023. (And over 130 million lifetime)

This is interesting and all, but I’m still hoping for a Lego City Undercover 2. That is the best game in their catalogue and why they’re pretty much ignoring it is beyond me. The optimist says they are readying it for Switch 2 (and other plays as well, of course).

The art style is starting to become iconic level to me imo.
The lightning and the simple blocks works pretty well, it has that "nintendo" like feel to the world.

Lego games are starting to look great.

I would have to agree, especially considering they don't need a 3rd party license for it.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
