VGChartz Methodology: Hardware estimates are based on retail sampling and trends in individual countries, which are then extrapolated to represent the wider region. This typically allows us to produce figures that end up being within 10% of the actual totals.

This data is regularly compared against official shipment figures released by the console manufacturers and figures estimated by regional trackers with greater market coverage than ourselves. We then update our own estimates to bring them into line with those figures. This can result in frequent changes often within a short space of time, but we feel it's important to prioritise accuracy over consistency.

Good week for PS5

According to VGChartz estimates Xbox Series X|S has surpassed the PS Vita.

Xbox Series has outsold the PS Vita.

Also, that was a great week for PS5, specially in Europe.

Looks like a good week for all 3 systems. Switch is over 300k, and PS5 is over 250k. Perhaps PS5 production is ramping up? Guess we'll have to see in future weeks. All 3 systems are up YoY.

with the next door the reaper is in front of knocking being the og xbox.

Big drop for the PS4, from 8500 to 6200 this week. Interestingly the XB1 hold itself since few weeks ago within the 400s.
Nice boost for the PS5, if it continues this way It may even break the 13M for the year or even more. Curious if the stock will be enough for 300k weekly in the coming weeks.

Fascinating is the renewed sign of the great demand of the PS5. At the same time as the PS4, the PS5 sells 85,000 more units today. Despite the lack of chips. Of course, the same applies to the XSX, which sold even more often than PS5 compared to the One at the same time.

Exciting!
