I found out the hard way I wasted like 5 years playing fighting games all it did was make me gain 200 subscribers and I'm better than average if you wanna make it to the justin wongs or maximilian dood you cannot be just uploading online matches or combos you gotta have ties with upper management like Maximilian dood working and commenting on Evo tournaments or be an evo champion. there aint no room for players like me above average nor the average even if I do know and uploaded few evo players , maybe I should target not evo players for help and still be an unknown. This niche genre is the most unrewarding mess I experience alot of years. while my average friends who speedrun sonic the hedgehog their channel use to be lower than me in 2012 but they are now bigger than mine it's true I should ignore sort of niche genres like Fighting and visual novels and go back to platformers where I grew faster in subscribers especially Sonic. I'll focus more on Platformers and RPGS from now on and do little of fighting games.

BTW I'm better than Few top 100 tournament players and can match up top 8 in Sega Fighting vipers with my honey, It's just sad And my friend wont name  has been stuck in 700 subscribers for awhile was forced to travel to many states to get recognized he made it in top 8 at combo breaker 2022 in certain game  national omega player and people still dont notice him how hard do you gotta grind to build that youtube channel hope he makes it to top 3 if top 8 is not enough?Because he still hasn't gotten 1k subsubscribers Support him he's trying so hard , And support other top 8 players that join major tourny

This one Sonic Speedrunner really hurts ,Ultimategamer 6,000 subscribers I used to beat him in speedruns and still do I use to be bigger than him but since he's still playing sonic he's 6 thousand subscribers btw I'm still way better than him and he cant crack top 3 like me in Sonic origins I still have few Sonic Origins world records

I know it's based on demographics , and Fighting games is the low of the low in most youtubers I should do Mickey mouse too? Even my friend Latino1976 started playing Mario Kart 8 more and kinda abit of Mortal Kombat but I only watch his Mario Kart streams and everybody else while the Mortal Kombat one  I usually never watch hes like the biollion of players either high player or average but never made top 3 in major tournaments like combo breaker. I don't think doing well in tournaments will necessarily relate to having more Youtube subscribers unless you're absolutely one of the best. They're two separate things. People don't go to a tournament even assuming their opponents have a Youtube channel, it's just about winning and taking the prize money. Justin Wong is one of the best players ever so of course he's popular enough to have a following, but many of the greatest players never even had a channel. As for Maximilian Dood I don't know much about him but I don't think he ever was a particularly great player? I thought he just made it big as a content creator because he puts out a lot of content and has done for years.

Erm... You shouldn't do streaming/videos to get subscribers, you should do it for fun. Unless you get in the 100k viewers, the numbers really don't matter much.

For what it's worth, you'll get a few cents per 1000 viewers if you try to monetize.
