I know @NobleTeam360 is a big Mass Effect junkie. Thoughts?

Kinda have to agree, who do you cast as Shepard?

I mean, you don't have to cast anyone. It could be a different story to begin with.

But either way, I disagree on Shepard being that "customizable". Sure, you can change how the character looks, but all Mass Effect promotional material ever always promoted this image of the non-customized male Shepard, to the point where even people who played with a customized character probably still think of Shepard as the guy in the artwork of all the games.

Henry Cavil if it's Male Shepard or...

Kate Siegel for Female Shepard.

I think they could avoid all these 'issues' altogether by simply making it not a Shepard story, Mass Effect has a rich enough universe for that and it would avoid the complicated issue of what they do with that widely considered terrible ending, however I very much doubt that is even in consideration, Lol. I think I disagree anyway, I think as long as this Shepard is well written on his/her own then they can both coexist and we can differentiate between "that's my game Shepard, that's our TV Show Shepard, both are good" My Shepard is male but I wouldn't really care if the TV Show Shepard is female.

And...

Yes Please.

Perfect timing too, The Expanse is ending, James S.A. Corey deserve to do something else for Amazon, The Expanse is one of my favourite Sci-Fi Shows of all time and I would trust them with Mass Effect.

Probably won't be them though cause it's too perfect and nothing ever goes that well At minimum, Drew Karpyshyn needs to be a consultant.

Still waiting for season 5 to release on blu-ray. I guess it comes after season 6 releases on Amazon Prime. So if Mass Effect is going to replace the Expanse, earliest I'll see it is 2024.

The writing is great in The Expanse. Season 4 felt a bit low budget though, does season 5 have more locations and people? At least it was a better continuation than Westworld Season 3, I still have to finish watching that. Lost interest halfway through. A shame, season 1 and 2 were amazing. Seems IMDB agrees scores falling off in Season 3. Looking at the Expanse scores are also going down after S3, S3 seems to be the peak to the series. Can't believe sci-fi channel cancelled it.

Mass Effect will need a much bigger budget.

Definitely, it hasn't been greenlit yet so it will be a number of years before we see anything.

Why don't you have Amazon Prime?

Season 5 doesn't really have many new locations or people if I'm remembering correctly but it does have a brilliant villain, I think it's just the nature of The Expanse, it's primarily focused on our Sol System. Westworld is the quickest "this show is amazing" to "damn this show is boring" I have ever experienced, I think I can remember about 2 things that happened in Season 3...Heck I didn't even like Season 2 that much either, Lol.

Yeah, Sy-Fy were dumb for cancelling it but they cancel everything so I'm used to it, at least Amazon were there to save it this time, sorta like Cobra Kai being cancelled by Youtube and Netflix picking it up. I'm sure Mass Effect will have a much larger budget than The Expanse, Amazon has money to burn I'm not worried for the budget but I would be a bit concerned how things like Salarians, Krogan, Turians, etc. adapt to live-action.
