Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Do you expect Sega Saturn games to come to NS Online are licenses the problem and self publishing?

Games like Vampire Savior and Xmen vs Street Fighter are no's because Capcom themselfs can port Vampire Savior instead like they already done xbox 360 , and as for xmen vs street fighter doesnt disney not allow any marvel games from others anymore without a massive license fee? which is why marvel vs capcom 4 is hard? and marvel vs capcom infinite they don't have xmen characters? the niche japanese games cant be translated would cost money and mortal kombat trilogy will be ported from n64 instead of sega saturn since they are not tied with Sega software? If Sega does make a Saturn NSO they would lose money on their remakes like panzer dragoon remake and upcoming Panzer Dragoon 2 remake? Sega would make bank doing remakes of skies of arcadia and dragon force since those are highly requested instead of giving them away for free on Nintendo Switch Online?

Excellent question! No.

If Sega decides to emulate Saturn games, do it on all platforms. Don't just do it for Switch.

Also, 3rd party games are always a possibility. I mean the Playstation store has had plenty of Capcom games.

Sega knows they make serious bank on Burning rangers , Sonic Jam , Sonic R , Dragon Force , Skies of arcadia if it was available on other platforms too and future proof remakes instead, I don't think it'll be NSO exclusively the only games that don't have high demand might be ported instead for Nintendo Switch Online , like Cyber Trooper Virtual On , Virtua fighter 2 and Sonic the Fighters ?

No. SEGA is contempt remaking a few first-party games. 3rd parties are porting Saturn games to Switch. Mostly Shmups.

I wouldn't mind Assualt suit Leynos on Switch , and I wanna see some american 3rd party Sega Saturn games make it like Earth worm Jim 2 , Rayman unless Ubisoft doesnt charge too much unless they rather port it themselfs? Darius Gaiden , Primal Rage game is 200 on ebay , Pandemoneum , Die Hard Trilogy , Gex and others American released without Japanese Hiragana writing in the way? And Die hard arcade might / might not be possible? It's Japanese counterpart is Dynamite Dekka 1. Bolded true japanese 3rd shmups are being ported we have Cotton Sega Saturn Tribute and many more Sega Saturn Shmups from Shmup genre being ported to Switch we have Gunbird 1 and 2 and Samurai Aces 1 - 3 others on Switch already now.

Its one of the harder systems to emulate. I would love it if they did as It's one of the few consoles I don't think I have ever played a game on it. I never owned it nor did any of my friends.

At this point, Saturn emulation has gotten quite good. I think virtually every Saturn game can be played at this point. People are even making English patches for notable Japan only games.

A few Saturn games have been ported, but none relying on emulation.

No. Genesis/Mega Drive is Sega's bread and butter from back in the day so I suppose it makes sense to have the games available. I don't see Saturn or Dreamcast happening because they're harder to emulate.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Yes. Sega Saturn and Dreamcast. But in the distant future. I hate NSO, but it seems to go wild with different hardware emulations.

Also , it wouldn't make sense to port a major Quality game like Panzer Dragoon Saga in it , why? Because square Enix didn't port Chrono Trigger in Nintendo Switch Online nor SNES Classic if square said no chrono trigger for SNES online why should Sega port their hidden trump card if their ever in the red finacially like Panzer Dragoon Saga so a remake is better option I hope Square enix does a modern remake of Chrono trigger their trump AAAA game that is never on Nintendo Switch online? That's their biggest money maker comeback of a remake and on all platforms.
