Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sega Lord x and many Sega youtuber don't talk about Sega SG - 1000 and it's games or exclusives .

Games like Yuji naka's Girls Garden , I had an SG - 1000 before any other Sega console , my dad imported SG - 1000 to me.

I'm interested in the console myself as a Sega fan but the problem is it only came out in Japan which makes it hard to get hold of.

This pretty much covers it.  Its a very obscure system because it only really sold in Japan was only in production for one year and was underpowered compared to to the NES which was released on the same date in Japan in 1983.

Even tho they came out the same year. Famicom is as primitive as I can go. SG 1000 is even more primitive than Famicom somehow.

My dad saw something unique that he imported it from Japan , I was enarmored with it's console Design , People were curious what strange looking console I owned back then. But the years were weird to me as this was my first Sega and my memory fuzzy from other things it was one of those unique times in my life I knew Sega was unique as a company. And wish them many riches coming years.

As far as 8-bit consoles go only the Sega Master System was slightly more powerful.   MMC chips inside many NES games expanded the systems capabilities towards the end of its life cycle.
