Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

No 80M? Nintendo go third party

Less than 400k to reach the best quarter yet hardware units wise, so sad. But overall it was a good fight, 80 million (almost) and 24.1 million over 3 quarters is a huge achievement.

"Coming out of the fourth holiday season, global cumulative sell-through has now surpassed 74 million units.
(Internal estimates, including Asia, Latin America, and other regions, as of the 4th week of December 2020)"

Over 74 million units sold as of the 4th week of December.

That is...

...

Soul-crushingly disappointing.

Unless I'm missing something, that means it still hasn't outsold the 3DS and it is way, way, WAY over-tracked.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is over 9 million... Crazy. Ring Fit over 8 million.
Mario 3D all stars over 8 million. If it wasn't limited time, I think it would cross 10 million, but I think it will just miss it.

1doesnotsimply

The Switch is insane. 11.52M in one quarter is fantastic, but the amount of software sales is pretty astounding too. Super Smash Bros, Pikmin, Splatoon, Xenoblade, Mario Party, 3D Super Mario, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Luigis Mansion, Fire Emblem and Mario Tennis have their best selling entries on Switch, and other games like Mario Kart and Kirby have their second best selling title on Switch.

Yeah, I'm not sure about this. Their shipments is 79.87M...I just don't see them having almost 5M shipped or in transit when they seem to be out of stock the majority of places.

Practically 80 million in 3 years, That's insane. So is the nINtEnDo sHOuLd MAkE a rEaL cOnSoLe finally over?
