Forums - Sales Discussion - Activision transfers Vicarious Visions (Crash/Tony Hawk) to Blizzard, will now focus on Blizzard IP's

Vicarious Visions, who was most recently responsible for Crash N.Sane Trilogy and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, two well received and high selling games, has now been transferred from the Activision side of Activision-Blizzard to the Blizzard side, and will be focused on Blizzard IP's moving forward.

Strange move for sure imo. Vicarious Visions literally just proved themselves as one of Activisions best studios by releasing 2 games that reviewed and sold well, and now Acti ships them off to the Blizzard side of the business. While Crash was already successfully transferred from Vicarious to Toys for Bob, this is basically a death move for Tony Hawk right after they successfully revived it, none of Acti's other studios are capable of doing a good job on Tony Hawk I fear, their last attempt on Tony Hawk's 5 was a complete and total disaster.

It's probably good news for Blizzard fans though. Vicarious have proved themselves to be an excellent remaster/remake studio, with them focused on Blizzard IP's moving forward you can bet that future Blizzard remasters/remakes will be a hell of alot better than Warcraft 3 Reforged. I definitely see a Diablo or Starcaft remake coming in the future.

Vicarious Visions did well with Crash and Tony Hawk. Of course the original games were already stellar to begin with. It's strange how Activision and Blizzard operate so separately. I guess it works for them though.

Guess we can kiss any more Crash and Tony Hawk games goodbye. -_-

Crash should be fine, Vicarious only did Crash N.Sane, Toys for Bob did Crash 4. Tony Hawk is probably dead though, I doubt any other Activision studios can successfully revive it.

But who did the recent Tony Hawk revival?

That was Vicarious. So yeah, Tony Hawk is probably dead now, even if Acti does a new one it will probably suck like Tony Hawk 5 did.

OR... hear me out... Tony Hawk is a guest hero in Overwatch 2, and then they DO make THPS6 and we get Winston on a skateboard! :o

Skill 1 - His skateboard can be thrown to block incoming attacks such as widow sniper shots.

Skill 2 - He rolls around at boosted Lucio speed when he hasn't thrown skateboard. He can either cheer teammates on and boost their damage or insult enemies with sick 90's burns such as "Talk to the Hand!" and "As if!" And cause them to have lower attack damage.

Skill 3 - Passive Skill. Anytime you hit someone while skating around you damage them. You have a 1/3 chance of knocking someone over upon contact.

Skill 4 - He does a 900 into the sun, causing blindness for every member on the opponent team for 5 seconds.

I'd pay good money for this...
