Trailer is age restricted so I can't embed it.

KOF15 is releasing in 2021, no platforms announced yet, more info coming next week. They are working on an anime short directed by Masami Obari which will have several fan favorite KOF characters and feature the theme song for KOF 15. Some screenshots:

Meanwhile, 2 of the 4 characters in Samurai Shodown's 3rd season were announced:

March- Cham Cham

???- Hibiki Takane from SNK's The Last Blade series

Samurai Shodown is also receiving an update for the 3rd season, which includes character rebalancing, a guard crush mechanic, and measures to prevent weapons from disappearing off the stage.

Updated the OP with more info.

KOF15 looks promising so far. I hope they add rollback netcode to it as well.

Happy about Last Blade rep. Excited for XV, hoping for a PC or Switch release.

Hope KOF 15 makes it Xbox like Samurai Shodown did. The next gen version of Samurai Shodown is even Xbox Series timed exclusive, not coming to PS5 until later. Hopefully that's a good sign that MS made a deal to at least get a KOF 15 port for Xbox One/Series.

The game looks better than XIV, but I feel that SNK can polish it more.
Excited for the game. Hopefully it’ll release on Switch since it’ll likely release on PS4/5 and/or Xbone/Series S/X first.
Hoping for a Samurai Shodown 2019 situation. Having Terry already in Smash Ultimate would be a great opportunity to promote the game on Switch.

Yeah, the graphics are a noticeable improvement over KOF 14 for sure (KOF 14 graphics were quite bad honestly, most 7th gen fighting games looked better and yet KOF 14 was on 8th gen). But though they are improved over KOF 14, KOF 15 graphics could definitely use more polish, Mai's character model in particular looks quite rough compared to the others in the trailer.

Honestly, if you want a good look at just how far SNK's graphics are behind their fighting game competition, just compare Mai in KOF 15 against Mai in DoA 6:

It's like they're not even from the same console generation, and yet they are. KOF 15 still manages to look like it is running on 7th gen hardware instead of 8th, with one exception, the particle effects on the fire and such look pretty good.
