Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Other Nintendo-third party collaborations you'd like to see

In recent years we've seen Nintendo partner with Tecmo Koei for Hyrule/FE Warriors, Ubisoft for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Namo Bandai for Pokken Tournament.

What other collaborations would you like to see?

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Arc system work making a 3v3 smash game.

Capcom did a pretty good job on the handheld Zelda titles, namely Oracle of Time/Seasons. I'd like to see them have another go at a smaller scale Zelda game similar to Link's Awakening Remake, while Nintendo proper continues to work on the bigger titles.

Microsoft Perfect Dark lol.

I don't think something like a brand new 2D Zelda would be seen as small enough for Nintendo to give it to a third party company nowadays sadly, despite how cool another Capcom 2D Zelda would be.

Seriously though, if Nintendo isn't going to make new entries in a lot of their franchises, I think letting prolific third parties make new entries in them rather than just pumping out more remakes would be a much cooler solution. If we get a remade 2D Metroid or another remade Zelda on the Switch instead of a new game ... my god ...

Would love for Platinum to make another Star Fox game, this time with actual creative control, but I feel like after the failure of Zero, Nintendo isn't willing to invest in the series again, and also feel like Platinum themselves probably don't care about the IP anymore after the shitty experience it must've been for them to make that game with Miyamoto everywhere.

For all its flaws, on an artistic level I felt like Zero was a good starting point for a rebooted series, it could have a lot of potential to take off if handled correctly. But what's most likely to happen is that the next Star Fox game will be another gimmicky mess some 9 years from now.

Edit: alternatively, I'd take a much improved port of Star Fox Zero too, but that's also asking too much.

Nintendo + Sega: A Shining Force vs Fire Emblem strategy game

A Nintendo vs Capcom title

Also, a new Itadaki Street on the Switch. It's been almost 10 years now.
