If we exclude Breath of the Wild (as it would otherwise dominate the poll and make the outcome too predictable) what do you think was the single best game on Nintendo ill-dated dual screen console, and why?

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Best platformer ever, really. Incredible level design, music, atmosphere. Great bosses. Just love everything about it.

Super Mario 3D World. Amazing game. One of the best Mario games I ever played.

Man, looking at that list, it's hard to believe WiiU was such a bomb. There are some all-time greats there.

I think I'd give a slight edge to Mario Kart 8.

Call of Duty, being able to sit there with a friend in the same room and chat and have a screen each was great.

I would argue Ori and the will of the wisps is probably a step up in terms of "best platformer".

Not to say DK Tropical freeze is a bad game though... Far from it.

But as far as "best" WiiU game overall, definitely in agreement there.

Problem was, as well as being attached to unappealing hardware, those quality games were spread out thin with long droughts in between.
