If I had to guess, I doubt Google is actually going to be a serious player since they aren't taking Stadia that seriously imo. I think it will come down to Amazon or MS if true.

I remember Ubisoft resisting a majority share purchase recently.. this rumor doesn’t strike me as true. Besides, I love their games but they aren’t that influential in the console wars.

Updated title to better reflect content in the video.

Ubisoft is a publicly traded company, so if their stockholders are convinced to sell, any other company could buy them out. Doesn't seem to be any concrete plans to do so. Mostly theoretical.

The Youtuber must be right. Full stop.

I kind of feel like Google is close to throwing in the towel on Stadia. It's been out for a year now and isn't even close to the level of success I'm sure they wanted on it. Buying Ubisoft could cost upwards of $10b since they're publicly traded and stock prices would increase ahead of a buyout, I'd be surprised to see Google spend that much to try and save Stadia. So I'd say either Amazon or MS is far more likely. Amazon reportedly has a console of some sort coming alongside their newly announced Luna streaming service, but their 1st party is currently woefully lacking if they hope to compete with MS on cloud or MS and Sony on console, an Ubisoft acquisition would increase their chances of success considerably. As for MS, well Satya Nadella just said after the Bethesda acquisition that they are considering more big acquisitions, they were even bidding on WB Interactive at the same time that they were in negotiations with Zenimax before AT&T decided not to sell WB Interactive, meaning they were planning to buy both at the same time over the summer, so Ubisoft definitely isn't off the table for MS I'd say.

Between the two, I'd much rather MS get Ubi than Amazon. Amazon might lock them to Luna and their new console, whereas MS would keep them on PC in addition to xCloud and Xbox, with certain series ending up on Switch as well most likely.

ubisoft had amazing games early 2010's
aciv black flag and far cry 3,

everything went south once watchdog came out,
a lot of their games had a lack of finesse or polish they came out looking very average.
watchdogs damage has been done i dont see myself buying a ubisoft game soon maybe fc6 if that is indeed vaas!

Microsoft seems like the most likely candidate. But even the trillion dollar company can't buy that many big studio's within months. Also I see them going for EA next for Fifa to gain a lot of ground in Europe. Kind a like what Nintendo did with monster hunter all be this a bit more fitting for a company this size to simply buy EA.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Remember the EA hostile takeover rumors? If this has any truth it shows the industry truly is going to shit.

Vivendi tried to buy them out, and it was resisted. But, that's not to say another company with deeper pockets might not succeed.
