As a fan of 3D platformers, and of golden age Rare games, this is one game I really wish was on Switch, but the team making it is so small right now that'd take a lot longer. At least they're working towards an Xbox One port. :)

That was the question. Thank you. I wasn't sure if tribute or incidental or not. Never heard of the game until this thread.

Well, this is a game made by Rare alumni, so the tribute was incidental. The villains even look like Mizar's army from Jet Force Gemini, and are just as deserving of being blown to pieces. It's taken a few years though since they're a small team. I hope the games succeeds so that they can expand their team, and give us a Switch port (they're working on an Xbox One port after the PC and Xbox One ports).

I was intrigued when I heard some former Rare devs were making a new game, but to be honest, it looks kinda meh.
Environments are really bland and the enemies look generic, and the two don't mesh together aesthetically. Overall it just has an uninspired and low budget feel. Not really doing it for me.

I've been let down by these kinds of retro revivals before (Mighty No. 9, Yooka Laylee, Bloodstained, although Wargroove was really good) so I'm not going to get too hyped.

This one shouldn't be like the others since it wasn't crowdfunded.
