Waiting for chrono trigger remake announcement

Don't think Squeenix is on the list of exhibitors. Maybe at TGS in September. I sure would love to see a Chrono Trigger remake, done similarly to Square's recent Trials of Mana remake. Square recently revealed that the Trials of Mana remake significantly exceeded their sales expectations, so there is hope of more retro RPG remakes from them.

Overly complicated sports games with microtransactions
Skull and Bones cancelled, Beyond Good and Evil delayed until 2026

There, all of these would make me miserable and whatever is shown can't be worse than this list so the show will be good in comparison no matter what.

Low expectations. I expect practically nothing interesting to me. Hope to be wrong.

I have such low expectations that I'm not even going to bother watching this. I'll read up on any noteworthy items afterward.

I am somewhat hopeful. Koch Media is on the exhibitor list and I don't think they have any already announced but unreleased games besides Dead Island 2. Which means there is a good chance that we will see either the re-reveal of Dead Island 2, Saints Row 5/reboot, or both. It's worth watching for me just on the possibility that the 5+ years in development Saints Row 5/reboot might finally be announced.

Reading that list..... yeah hopefully things get better than that.

Isn't Gamescom supposed to be a European event? It's usually in Germany, right?

I get that they can't actually have the event now, but they could still do it in Germany, no? Why LA?
