DS, without question.
It is home to some of my favourite memories in gaming including the Phoenix Wright trilogy and co-op multiplayer in Dragon Quest 9. Also, it's the handheld I own by far the most games for. The best part of GBA were the handheld ports of classic titles, some of them were buggy and/or dumbed down; most of which I actually played on DS, not GBA hardware. I can't recall any great games that were exclusive to the system. I suppose Circle of the Moon was an alright castlevania game, but I found it inferior to previous games, especially SotN (which it was a clone of) and very difficult to see on the screen except under direct light from how dark the game was.
On the otherhand, DS provided a backlight to GBA games, so I ended up playing GBA games mostly on DS - and for that, I can't credit toward my GBA experience.
