Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Direct Mini has just launched

Tempted to try xeno again. Story and premise seem so cool but I loathed the battle system in x and im sure its not drastically different. I wish it wouldve been action adventure OR turn base. Not that weird mixture.

Also that 2k news is quite the bummer. Was a highlight of the direct... was. Borderlands seems like a good fit and I was gonna give it another go. I prefer to pay for games, not liscenses. I may finally go digital next gen tho. I suppose it makes more environmental sense. Even if I dont see the same value in it.

You made a big mistake here, even "Xenoblade" was the name which Nintendo did choose, not Monolith Soft. Original, Monolith called it: Monado - The Beginning of The World, but Nintendo disagreed then told them to change it to Xenoblade. Everything needs Nintendo's approval.

Are you sure? I remember hearing Monolith Soft calling it Xenoblade in honor of the director or something.

Morando Begining of the World was a tentative title always. Tak uses Xeno as his brand so to speak so I don't think it was Nintendo. He has said multiple times,he uses it as his brand of games.

It's comical at this point isn't it? lol. "Monolith is Not Nintendo" "Even if you remake it, it's not a remake"

What drugs does it take to be this delusional?

Monolith chooses a name for its game. If Nintendo has nothing against it, that's the name the game will have. Which part don't you understand?

A remake (as in, a media work remake) is not the same as recreating something. I think it's not that hard to get...

Not gonna lie, if Future Connected is just Shulk and Melia that'd make it a lot less interesting to me, Melia was my least favourite of Xenoblade's main playable cast.

Same, I feel they could use this definitive edition to rewrite part of Melia's character, but I fear they'll double down on my issues with her in Future.

Luckily you two are just in the minority, the majority of Xenoblade fanbase love Melia a lot more than Fiora or Sharla.

Pfft, plucky cute blondes > snobby grey-haired old grandmas :P

I was afraid of Nintendo censoring the few times where actual blood appears on screen. Thankfully, upon closer inspection of the new footage, that seems to not be the case.

Not censoring, remastering

To me, Fiora did almost nothing in 50% of the main story. And High Entia mature 5 times slower than Homs, if you look at the affinity chart you can see that most High Entia are well over 100 years old. Melia is 88 so she's the equivalent of 17 almost 18 year old Homs. "Time can flow only towards the inevitable."

I'm well aware of Melia's age. Grey hair though just makes characters look like old grandmas.

I don't know. There was a phase a few years ago where young ladies were inexplicably dying their hair grey (I called it the "sexy grandma look"). I came across one female and automatically thought she was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. After that, I looked at grey hair differently.
