I've played and finished the first one. LOved it too, arguably my favorite fps this gen, but I simply cannot get myself to play the second one yet. Maybe in a year or so, when I will pick it up for a fraction fo the current price, or when the PS5 hits.

I was gonna make a separate thread for this, but since there's already a thread for Doom Eternal, I thought I'd post it here.

In case you missed it, Bethesda had ANOTHER major fuck up, completely botching the DRM they put in the game despite all the backlash they got for doing just that in the past.

LOL, sorry, I'm dying, I can't stop laughing. Bethesda has to be an epic troll job at this point, I refuse to believe any publisher could be this incompetent (notice I said incompetent, not scummy: EA, Acti, Ubi, etc. {though they are that, too}). They continue to do the thing people constantly gave them shit for doing time and again, and then they can't even get THAT right, TROLOL.

And I concede for once, that i wish I had a PC powerful enough because that is obviously the place to play this game, it's feels almost a shame to be playing it on PS4 at all.

Thoughts? playtime? Doom 64 first?

Digital foundry : "the PS4pro was the most stable of the bunch"  (when talking about the stable 60fps promised on doom eternal)

Supposedly the PS4pro runs it well.
Dureing the testing in a demanding area that digital foundry showed, it was only a few dips down to 59fps, otherwise it was 60.
"exedingly rare" when it comes to dips.

They called it "effectively a locked 60fps" on the PS4pro.

DF says the Xbox One X, isnt as stable in FPS, and it has occasional "hicks" where it cesses up, and you run into a stuter.

However DF also said, both versions run alot better than Doom 2016 did.

Have so far just played a bit over an hour, game seems pretty good. Not sure how you can complain about fps, digitalfoundry just did a video and it's rock-solid 60fps even in heavy battles. Runs great on my PS4 pro, graphics look worse than last doom, not sure how they managed that. I'm playing on ultra violence.

For my sensitivity I have 0 on smooth aim or what you call smooth movement? And 55/55 on sensitivity, you haft to turn smooth aim to 0 otherwise it ruins your aim, it makes your aim slow at first and it acceralete. I don't see how anyone wanna play this on PC.

Edit: Missed that you mention motion blur, this was good of you to tell, I have now turned it off as I see all blurs/abberation/grey filters/vaseline the enemy of gaming.

I'm getting the Switch version.

Loved the shit out of Doom 2016 and from watching gameplay, this one looks even greater.

Hurry up and do your stuff Panic Button, the wait is torture!
