I think they will show the console. If many people hate it, then they will have time to redesign it. Like they did with the PS3 boomerang controller.

MS seems to be skipping ahead three years, instead of launching with only a weaksauce base model console. The Series X is basically the mid gen upgrade that we would have gotten in 2023. Lockheart seems to be the weaksauce base model system. I hope the PS5 is basically the PS5 Pro from 2023 for $100 less than whatever Series X is, and with no weaksauce base model 2nd SKU in sight.

So if Series X is $500 at 2080 level graphics, then PS5 should be $400 at 2070 Super level graphics. If Series X is $600, then PS5 should be $500, and so on, and so forth.

I expect full backwards compatibility with every Playstation platform to date. I want to be able to insert a PS1, PS2, PS3 or PS4 game disk on the PS5 and be able to play it with better resolution and improved performance.

If Sony does not deliver on that front, I think I will choose Xbox for the first time in my life.

Yea I want to see BC. I don't care if the system is weaker but I don't want it to be a lot weaker. Something similar to the PS4 and Xone is good enough for me.
