Yikes, even all 3 colors of the Lite are sold out

I really hope people aren't paying those ridiculous mark up prices for Switch. $469!?! Disgusting

Hmm, I answered this thread after a long time, but it is already April.
And most of the items seem to be out of stock, probably due to the coronavirus.

Pre-orders for 3D All Stars already sold out yikes

These Amazon threads were so lively on past years, what happened in 2020? Nice work keeping it going.

I think Switch dominance hurt and I did not have the time / motivation to post many updates this year.

Yeah, so much dominance combined with Sony/Microsoft pushing digital.

I wonder how much of the physical software sales Nintendo makes up now on Amazon, it's got to be a majority of them now by looking at the charts. Games over 3 years old are outselling new games...

To me, it started to stop being interesting to follow when Amazon kept on screwing with what could and could not be on the lists.  Now, the digital cards have been consolidated and are always on the top three and they included so many uninteresting things (mice, headsets, keyboards, 3rd party peripherals for example) on the lists that it became a borderline chore to look through.

But the thing is these games would still outsell those “new” games with digital included. The npd chart would have been like these Amazon threads had they include digital for Nintendo. The fact N games chart extremely high on npd with no digital sales should tell you a lot.

It’s not just Nintendo selling more “physical games”. They are selling more games in general. Do you really think COD is the best selling game this year (according to npd) when AC sold 26 million copies lol?

Small observations:

Just Dance for Switch is doing really well. I guess that will be a safe million seller considering the growth of the casual audience thanks to Animal Crossing an other games of that kind.

And in a silent and genius move Microsoft improved their chart presence.
Because they only have one combined SKU for their next gen games which boosts it in the chart compared to the split PS4 / PS5 SKUs for Sony.
Look at the UK chart for reference.

Yeah it's crazy how well Just Dance is doing on Amazon.com, guess its pricing has really helped boost it during a busy November. Also it seems at least on Amazon it's very well received with 5 star reviews dominating.

Completely agree. But I was speaking as to why this topic doesn't get much traction anymore.

Also, isn't the NPD reporting based on money spent, not copies sold?
