It's already safe to say that the coronavirus will limit Switch in Japan because we are getting weekly sales from Famitsu and Nintendo had issued an apology in advance that Switch stock in Japan was bound to be affected. A week ago Japanese consumers rushed out to buy consoles before shortages hit, so sales jumped to 80k for the hybrid SKU for a total of 100k with the rest being Lites. This week the hybrid SKU accounted for only 20k while Lite sales jumped to 60k for the total of 80k you see in the original post of this thread. Because of that, it's clear that the hybrid SKU is already facing shortages, because it has been the more popular SKU in Japan for months.
While the past two weeks didn't hurt global sales, the SKU breakdown tells the story that a negative impact is imminent.
