Best- RDR undead nightmare

Can’t think of a worst one, probably cod(after black ops, all were just trash)

FromSoftware has put out some excellent DLC for their games since the first Dark Souls. Those are probably my personal favourites. Can't think of any bad ones that I've bought myself, but that's because I rarely buy DLC in the first place.

One that I still can't decide if I love or hate is the Burial at Sea DLC for Bioshock Infinite.

On the one hand, it was cool seeing Rapture before its collapse, more of Infinite's excellent gameplay was welcome, and the additional weapons and powers were cool.

On the other,

Spoiler!
killing off Elizabeth the way they did felt like such an unworthy end to one of gaming's greatest characters, I really didn't like the way they did that. Where Infinite saw her transform from a helpless victim to an awe-inspiring figure, Burial at Sea took all that away. It also kinda ruins the hauntingly ambiguous ending of Infinite. I feel like the series as a whole would've been better off without this addition, narratively speaking. In their attempt to tie up all the loose ends, they cut too many too short.

It was a downer, but I think it was mostly appropriate.

One of the big themes, if not the biggest theme of Bioshock, was child abuse.  The Little Sisters, Jack, Elanor, and Elizabeth.  In all of these cases the child is essentially sacrificed either to further an ideology or for straight up profit.

Spoiler!
After essentially making revenge for her abuse her reason for living, Elizabeth instead uses her experience as motivation to save others.  Again she winds up as a sacrifice, but this time by her choice, to end the cycle of abuse... Essentially she's serving as a Big Daddy who are probably the most purely good characters in the series... Of course, depending on the player, Jack can then continue sacrificing all of the little sisters, which would make her sacrifice entirely pointless.

Hollow Knight has fantastic DLC! Hours and hours of content and it's free! Shovel Knight also has an insane amount of value in its DLC!

This. Artorias of the Abyss, The Old Hunters, and the 2 DLC packs for Dark Souls III were all great.

HATED the DLC for Dark Souls II, though. Each one of those DLCs had the worst areas in all of soulsborne, as well as some of the worst bosses. Sure, they also had some of the best bosses, but you had to suffer through crap to get the good stuff and I don't wanna wade through a sewer to get a cheeseburger regardless of how good the cheeseburger is.

I got it all, baby!

Shovel Knight is another great example! It's not free, but it quadruples the content in the game by giving you 3 new campaigns (Since, you know, it effectively changes the entire core of the game)

Not the worst, but pretty bad: Currently playing Fist Of The North Star: Lost Paradise, and there's dcl for a Kazuma skin for, I think, $5. It might even be $10. Either way: Fuck. Off.

Maybe I'm just too attached to the character but I just feel like they deserved a better send-off. It's also a pet peeve of mine when a sequel (or in this case add on) ruins the mood of a story's ending by rendering former struggles pointless or negating something poignantly ambiguous.

The Witcher 3 - Heart of Stone
Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Woman's Lot
Bioshock Infinite - Burial at Sea
Dragon Age Origins - Awakening

Those are the best.

I really liked the extra case in Phoenix wright dual destines, Turnabout Reclaimed. It is the largest and imo best case in the game.

I also really like the dlc for Mario Kart 8 already mentioned.

As for not so great dlc I usally stay away, but the smash 4 dlc come to mind as less stellar.
