The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console worldwide with 309,227 consoles sold for the week ending February 8, according to VGChartz estimates.

The PlayStation 4 was the second best-selling console with sales of 155,977 consoles sold, followed by the Xbox One with 49,039 units, and the Nintendo 3DS with 3,304 units. 

Switch sales compared to the same week a year ago are up ,63,624  units (+24.7%). PS4 sales are down 101,704 units (-39.4%), the Xbox One is down 26,666 units (-31.5%) and the 3DS is down 31,239 units (-90.8%).

This looks like a pretty typical 2020 sales week to me. Switch a bit over 300k with PS4 doing half that and XB1 doing about 1/6th.



Wonder how many Switches will be sold by Xbox Series X and Ps5 launch. Not shipped, sold.

You mean the moment those two release (likely mid november 2020)? The 65m range or a little above seems about right.

Wow, Switch seems to be keeping up pretty well despite the dry spell.



What came out for Switch that week that warranted such a bump in NA week over week?



Hopefully the production issues in China due to COVID-19 don't hurt Switch global sales too much; Nintendo says Europe and NA won't be affected, but Japan is a huge market for them.

Switch really hasn't had good luck on this front, with the shortage of mobile parts in 2017 causing them long lasting supply issues too.

Also, was there an Xbone deal this week? It jumped up nearly 20%
