2020 predictions: NSW 21m, PS5 6m, XSX 4.5m, PS4 9m, XB1 3m
(PS5 and XSX predictions will most likely change after we know enough about them)

"Hardware spending in January 2020 declined 35 percent when compared to a year ago, to $129 million. All in-market platforms declined when compared to a year ago."

Not great, all platforms down in revenue. PS4 and XB1 probably significantly.

So even the Switch is down yoy in the US?

Should've released 3D World by now, I guess they really wanted to focus only on AC right now.

Not necessarily. If it's only down by a bit, then the difference might simply be coming from the cheaper Lite model.

Also, Switch had Smash boost and NSMBUD in January, that was kinda hard to beat from the get-go.

It is, they said down in revenue and units but only single digits decline for units.

Ah thanks, I thought that single digits was meant for revenue only, my bad. Still, considering no new game release, a negligible amount less than last year then.

Yes being down only single digits is pretty impressive considering Smash. Although, being that it sold 284k last January 2019 that means vgchartz is overtracking it in the US last month I believe. They even added a baseline jump of 15k to the first week of this month due to "early tax returns" so I am not sure how accurate the staff is tracking it here especially after all the adjustments they had to make last month. I would trust NPD numbers more so. Still though, Switch seems to be doing quite well so far into the year.

Kinda awesome to see RFA charting so high despite the lack of digital format 😋
