Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Switch has sold through over 48 million units by the end of 2019

Everything is there.

https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2020/200131_2e.pdf

Talking about Switch hardware:

- over 48 million units has been sold by December 2019
- over 2 million units sold in December in North America, over 800.000 in Black Friday
- over 600.000 units in Europe during Black Friday
- Switch hardware so far up YOY in Japan, North America and Europe

...

(And yes it's massive overtracked on VGChartz lel)

With NPD and Japan sales it would be really surprising that it got tracked 1 to 2 millions too much only in europe and rol.

So switch has sold over 3 million in January according to vgchartz

Please tell me you aren't claiming they have over 4 million units sitting on shelves or in shipping?

Was just about to say that. Even if it was a little overshipped it would still be pretty much at 50m sold through. And that is OVER 48m so nothing wrong there.

Can people stop being dense these are official numbers from Nintendo it's not uncommon to 3-4 million systems sitting on shelves sony usually had that amount on store shelves.

Second thing is this show switch will never sell as much as ps4. The system already has the sweet 200$ price tag and ps4 is still far ahead. I know people will say well that's the lite it's still a huge factor for a impulse buy especially for the holidays

When I say ps4 is far ahead I mean its launch shouldn't even be counted as a holiday because it didn't even have enough consoles to meet launch demand si it only 2 holidays and a half it's out selling switch not 2 million. And switch has a 200$ price for the cheap buyers.

Welcome to the forums but that was not a very good first post given that nearly everything you said was wrong.  On the bright side, you can only go up from here.

Jeez, show some respect! That's not his first post: It's the Hero of Cliffs himself, quickrick.

Nothing I said is wrong. Nintendo own official sell through numbers no regions excluded. It's like Sony giving out numbers and people disputing them it is what it is.

To stardoor. Thank you.

Hes not claiming. This is from nintendo themselves. You dont have to believe it if you think 48 million is too low
