I still have plenty of games to play from the holidays, but I'm jonesing for a Nintendo Direct anyway.  What games are coming out this year?  I've gotta know!

I really do think the corona virus has disrupted things for them, and they are currently adjusting their 2020 strategy.  They may even push software release dates back since their won't be sufficient hardware for a while.  At this point all we can do is wait and speculate until we get a full Direct though.

Didn't nintendo announce that they won't being doing general directs anymore and instead be making announcements throughout the year.

No?of course not...

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I'm confused now.

If Nintendo ever said that, believe me it would be plastered all over the place.

So, now that the Animal Crossing New Horizons Direct is over, should we make a new poll for this thread to have dates in March and April?

Nevermind, I'll be back in a minute.

Not ready to give up on the dates I've made for the poll yet.  But if March starts slipping by we won't have much choice, obviously. Personally I still think a genereal Direct will be happening before Animal Crossing releases.  Second week of March sounds about right.

A Nintendo Direct will happen...when Nintendo is ready to release information of upcoming games for 2020.

That's all there is to it. Its ready when its ready.

I think they are more than aware of how Directs are coveted by their fans.

It's just, as of now, Nintendo is focused on marketing Animal Crossing New Horizons (as shown by the game's dedicated Direct and the huge, decorated booth at PAX East).

I know they're not contracted by law to let us know what's coming up for the rest of 2020, but... this is getting a little crazy!
